Dr Kay Porche is an experienced Palliative Medicine Specialist committed to delivering compassionate and personalised care for patients facing life-limiting illnesses.
She completed her medical degree, (MBBS) at the University of Queensland followed by her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007. Dr Porche then obtained her specialist qualifications in Palliative Medicine in 2011 and has since served as a Staff Specialist in Palliative Medicine at the Rockhampton and Townsville Public Hospitals.
Dr Porche is now offering Private Specialist Palliative Care services across Rockhampton including:
·Inpatient consultations at the Hillcrest Rockhampton Private and Mater Rockhampton Private Hospitals.
·Outpatient consultations at the Mater Medical Centre
·Specialist services to the Fitzroy Community Hospice for symptom management and end of life care.
Her focus is on pain and symptom management, emotional support and maintaining dignity in care. She collaborates with patients, families and healthcare teams to enhance quality of life.
