Dr. Al-Askari completed his surgical residency in New Zealand.
After he completed his training, he moved to Brisbane to do a fellowship in Breast and Endocrine surgery (funded by Ramsay Health) under the mentorship of Professor Ian Gough -past President of the RACS and Professor Owen Ung current President of the RACS.
During that year, he worked at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and The Wesley Hospital.
He gained extensive experience in breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and clinical ultrasonography in these areas.
In 2012 he moved to Gladstone, Queensland and started his private practice there.
He consults in Gladstone and Rockhampton and operates at the Hillcrest Hospital in Rockhampton.
