Dr Mya Mya Yee is a consultant physician with a special interest in internal medicine, acute and perioperative medicine. She has received her MBBS, and her post-graduate degrees, M.Med.Sc (Int.Med) and her PhD (Hepatology) from the University of Yangon, Myanmar. She is a fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP). Her training equips her with an understanding of a range of complex medical conditions.
Dr Yee is dedicated to ensuring quality patient care by combining her deep academic background and clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. In the hospital setting, she emphasises timely diagnosis, collaboration and clear communication to deliver safe, effective care. She is passionate about medical education and mentorship, for herself, her peers and the next generation of physicians by remaining at the forefront of medical innovation and best practices.
Dr Yee accepts both inpatient and outpatient referrals for General Medicine and Perioperative Management at Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital.
