Ramsay Health Care launches new services in Rockhampton

Ramsay Health Care is bringing more health services to the people of Rockhampton with the launch of its allied health clinic, Ramsay Health Plus.

The new clinic, located at 71 North Street The Range, is an extension of services from Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital, allowing patients to receive ongoing physiotherapy and occupational therapy away from a hospital setting.

Ramsay Health Plus supports patients with chronic and acute health conditions to optimise their health and fitness, and enhance a safe return to work, sport or recreation.

Chief Executive Officer Fiona Hebbard said the new Ramsay Health Plus clinic would help a broad range of people in the community.

“People may choose to come here as part of a readmission program, after surgery or for treatment independent of any hospital services, because patients don’t need a doctor’s referral to attend the services at Ramsay Health Plus,” Ms Hebbard said

“As part of Ramsay Health Care, we’re committed to our Ramsay Cares strategy which focuses on investing in our local region and supporting the health and prosperity of our communities.

So it’s great to see this expansion of services in Rockhampton,” she said. The Ramsay Health Plus clinic includes an exercise gym and private consulting suites. Patients can receive individually-designed treatment programs for a range of health care concerns including:

• pre and post-surgery rehabilitation,
• injuries and pain management,
• balance and falls prevention, and
• general health and wellbeing.

The Ramsay Health Plus clinic will celebrate its official launch on Wednesday 28th July.
